Can we please review what racism is?

“Race discrimination involves treating someone (an applicant or employee) unfavorably because he/she is of a certain race or because of personal characteristics associated with race (such as hair texture, skin color, or certain facial features).”

White people are protected by anti-discrimination law.

If someone of your own race discriminates against you based on race, they are liable.

If someone discriminates against you because of the race of your spouse or someone you’re associated with, according to the EEOC, you have a claim.

If you break the law and are arrested, that is not racist.

If you take a test and fail, that is not racist.

If you are a successful entrepreneur, your success is not racist against those whose businesses failed.

Crime or other statistics - are numbers. They are not racist.

Keeping illegal immigrants out of the country - not racist.

If you don’t want to live under someone else’s religion, that’s not racist.

If your religion bars you from marrying people of another religion, that’s not racist.

If you criticize foreign countries or representatives for undue influence here, that is not racist.

If you automatically categorize all people of a certain race as either victims or aggressors, that is racist.

If you call people racist based on their political beliefs, that is racist.

If you reduce every discussion to racism, you’re obsessed with this topic and need to get help.
