Why Jewish People Must Bring Jewish Predators To Justice

The problem is that Jewish people claim to be unique.

Although we say that we are not “better,” but rather “have different responsibilities,” the reality in the Orthodox community particularly is a sense of collective superiority.

And each subgroup asserts its “superior superiority,” if you will.

If you have “yichus”; if you went to *that* yeshiva, or Harvard etc.; if you’re rich and a mega donor; if you served in the IDF, and in *that* particular battalion, etc.

There is this intense competitiveness along with an equally intense denial that no, we aren’t really that way.

Unfortunately, when it comes to protecting victims individually and collectively, our ego (which comes from insecurity) has caused us to fail miserably.

We cannot admit that we have a problem, and so we shush and shelter and shield the predators in an effort to “deal with it” without “looking bad.”

The result is that the outside world, which has bought our own propaganda (“Jews don’t do stuff like that”) are DOUBLY disgusted at our hypocrisy when they learn that in fact, some people do.

And the victims suffer and suffer and suffer.

Result: Any antisemitic tendency the outside world already has — based on not knowing us, because we are pretty insular - is exacerbated.

Add to that the widespread ignorance that exists, really bad stuff. Too much to go into in one post. It’s complicated but can be dispelled with some basic information.

Add animus toward Israel and Israel’s influence here.

Add fury over historical incidents like the USSS Liberty.

Add fury over Jeffrey Epstein as a likely Mossad instrument. The headline that cannot be published anywhere.

All of these factors and more are a toxic stew, a recipe for total disaster.

In response, the only thing we can do is be normal - like any other group. But for Jews, this is hard. We are so used to thinking that we must handle our own problems. But this only makes it worse.

We have to follow the law, follow best practices, question where funding is coming from, and completely stop covering for and enabling these momzers and monsters.

The excuses that “we didn’t know,” “he has a family,” “you’re exaggerating,” “victim is crazy,” - these cannot be tolerated one more minute. Aside from hurting victims it perpetuates child sex trafficking, domestic abuse and puts all of us in danger as Jews.

Chronology of Spygate

This is my current, oversimplified understanding of a much more complicated story.

Approx. February - Surveillance of Donald Trump begins, even before he begins running for President. Fusion GPS is one of the firms conducting the surveillance.

December - FBI starts counterintelligence operation targeting Trump. This operation is politically motivated.

April — Former British spy Christopher Steele is hired by DNC to write “dossier” on Trump by partisan interests. He produces it between June-December.

June — Brennan (CIA director) and Strzok (FBI deputy assistant director) meet and agree on “insurance” policy to tank Trump. Obama agrees. Brennan gets the UK to do it using private intelligence intermediaries - former UK agents. The justification is Russian interference in the American election, which is dutifully reported by The Washington Post (6/23/17) and later picked up in The New Yorker (3/12/2018).

August - The FBI delivers false information to Brennan to give to Hannigan as “justification.”  This enables Brennan to get Obama to sign the classified order (FISA warrant). Hannigan asks the UK Interception of Communications Commissioner's Office (IOCCO). to provide the necessary surveillance, code name “Project FULSOME.” (Note: Britain denies this.) CIA Director Gina Haspel was UK station chief for the CIA at the time. Meanwhile, the Obama White House promotes a false story about Russian election interference to the media.

September - the order is approved for 90 days.

November —a request to renew the order is submitted to Boris Johnson (now UK Prime Minister). On the same day, then-NSA Chief, Admiral Michael S. Rogers, visits President-elect Trump in Trump Tower to warn him about the surveillance. The media reports on the visit and a pretext is invented to fire him. Meanwhile, Trump decamps from Trump Tower immediately.

January — Three days after the inauguration, Hannigan quits his job, citing personal reasons.

March — on Fox News, Judge Napolitano says that 3 intelligence sources confirm Obama got Britain to do the spying. The next day, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer repeats Napolitano’s words. Shortly thereafter, Napolitano noticeably changes the tone of his public comments, and Spicer resigns.

April — the Guardian confirms that the GCHQ did the spying, and that it was handled at Brennan’s level.

May — Robert Mueller starts the Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference (it ended on May 22, 2019 without establishing guilt on President Trump’s part).

July — Former DNI director James Clapper confirms that Obama gave the order to conduct the “intelligence assessment” that led to the special counsel investigation.

Dealing With The Threat Of China

The main thing to understand is that we are under attack even as we speak. The war is being fought without anyone telling you. It is a war to save our Nation. Not a war over an election.

How do we know we are under attack? What is the one country that cannot be named? CHINA.

This despite massive espionage by China against the United States.

Last night on 60 Minutes they had a segment on artificial intelligence efforts by China.

The person they interviewed, Kia-Fu Lee, is a Chinese genius billionaire who is saying outright that China will destroy Silicon Valley’s advantage.

Lee said that within 15 years artificial intelligence will automate and displace 40% of all jobs.

He was asked about the massive potential for human rights abuses by a government in control of a database that can identify every living thing in the view of a camera. He had no comment.

China is a significant threat.

Think about the fact that China has imprisoned and is torturing 1-3 MILLION Muslims IN ACTUAL CONCENTRATION CAMPS.

Think about the fact that China is a known organ harvester.

Think about the fact that in China people have NO HUMAN RIGHTS.

The Chinese billionaire and many Chinese technology experts were educated here in the United States. (The U.S. is growing more cautious about this.)

China is infiltrating institutions of higher education here as well.

The Chinese are taking our know-how, shamelessly.

They are buying up Hollywood.

Their spying on Hillary Clinton’s emails led to the recent exposure and execution of in-country CIA agents.

Clinton’s selloff of our national defense secrets to China is its own story.

Deception: How Clinton Sold America Out to the Chinese Military

Sen. Diane Feinstein also employed a Chinese spy as a driver.

By knowing about her failing to adequately address the China threat (the scope of which is beyond this post), the “swamp” is guilty of helping us fall to the enemy.

What do we do about this?

1. Get the swamp, including those who have been helping our enemies (we are at war so they are traitors), out of power — and put them on trial.

2. Educate people about what has been happening.

3. Immerse everyone into training programs (digital manufacturing, especially) that will equip them to withstand the robotic future.

4. Plan together as to how we will care for our Nation in the jobless future.

5. Create an international framework to help stabilize the world at large against people who will use technology to subjugate us.

It’s so clear that we have a lot of work to do, and now is not the time for fighting, but for real and reasoned unity.

I am praying.

2. Stop selling guns to gang-related people to find out who the “big fish” are - an Obama special

3. Teach responsible gun use and self defense

Pinchas: A Man of Peace (Unedited Thread, 7/29/19)

1) Okay, let's study Torah!
2) This weekend we've talked a lot about Parshas Pinchas, I feel like - the main point was essentially that he was a man of peace, but sometimes being a man of peace means making war.
3) The thing about Pinchas "the zealot" is that when he killed Zimri and Cozbi

(the head of the tribe of Shomon + the Midianite princess committing the height of immoral behavior together in public)

he was killing people who had insinuated themselves into the Jewish fabric.
4) In other words, these bad people already won the favor of the Jews, and by standing up for what was right, Pinchas looked to them like "the bad guy."
5) Incredibly, this is the situation in which we now find ourselves. By standing up for what is right, the President is called a bad guy, all the time. (It's literally boring/funny already except it's really, really disturbing.)
6) I find life to be so crazy. Today we went to the religious part of town and I made a point of taking the family to the kosher cafe where we normally don't go, because we always feel a bit outside the community.
7) Now that I have come out and said, there is an element of the religious community which must be held to account - I feel so very cleansed, and able to see with such clarity that it is only a small percentage which has great sway over the many.

& their influence is declining.
8) So I sat there, in the kosher cafe, looking at the paintings of the rabbis and the yeshiva boys and the Western Wall, and someone asked me: "How would you increase Orthodox Jewish outreach to the non-religious?"

You know my answer: CONVICT THE PEDOS.
9) "But that sounds so extreme, Jews aren't like that" - NO NOT REALLY - SOME JEWS ARE!
10) I gave the example of a house. You invite someone to your house for Sunday dinner. You worry about what to serve them, for food.

They need to know that that it won't come tumbling down on their heads!

Having pedos running around IS THAT!
11) I know that the dam is breaking, the denial is breaking, about a lot of things.

When it comes to the pedo perverts, I think ultra-Orthodox Jews have put 2 and 2 together to realize, why are so many kids drug-addicted, kicked out of the house, unreligious?

12) When it comes to @POTUS, Jews are starting to see that it's not just about protecting Israel, there is something very crazy and scary and downright treasonous about the Democratic Party now - and they don't want anything to do with it.
13) Really, @POTUS is brilliant, because he brought up the subject of Baltimore. Do you know how many religious Jewish people live in Baltimore? Do you know that every single one has a story about living through the hellhole that place is?
14) One other interesting thing. Tonight we were watching a Bruce Willis movie from 2018 called "Acts of Violence" which basically showed that only the Veteran was able to fight human trafficking, because in his "zealotry" he saw the situation accurately.

15) The thing about this Torah portion is, there are really so many points one could cover - let me just get a couple in there that really stand out.
16) There is the discussion of the daughters of "Zelophechad" ("Zelofchad") who stand up to demand of Moses their inheritance in the land of Israel - they have no brothers.

God tells Moses that the women are right.

The passage emphasizes that law is about justice for all.
17) God tells Moses that he cannot enter the land of Israel and must designate a successor. Not his own son, but the man who rightfully deserves it - Joshua, who stood by his side steadfastly and proved himself a righteous warrior.
18) We learn that anarchy is not good - Moses pleads: "let the assembly of HaShem (God) not be like sheep that have no shepherd." (Num. 27:17)
19) The supplemental reading for this portion is 1 Kings 18:46-19:21. Here we see the prophet Elijah threatened by the wicked Jezebel. (Some say that Elijah was really Pinchas - that he lived an extraordinarily long life - some say the two were similar in spirit)
20) Jezebel was all about turning the Jews to idolatry - Elijah was all about stopping her.
21) In the beginning of this reading, Elijah runs away from Jezebel because of her threats.

But God has a job for him.
22) Elijah is despondent not because of the evil Jezebel, but because the Jews have no faith left.
23) 1 Kings 19:9-10 "And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”
24) "He said, 'I have been very jealous for the Lord, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away."
25) And then something happens - a tremendous storm.
26) 1 Kings 19:11

"And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind.

And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake."
27) 1 Kings 19:12

"And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire."

"And after the fire the sound of a low whisper."
28) 1 Kings 19:13

"And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave."

"And behold, there came a voice to him and said, 'What are you doing here, Elijah?'"
29) The first voice was the voice of an angel; the second is the voice of God Himself.

"What are you doing here, Elijah?"

God knows already.

He wants you to say it.
30) Elijah repeats exactly what he said previously.
31) 1 Kings 19:14

“I have been very jealous for the Lord, the God of hosts. For the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and killed your prophets with the sword, and I, even I only, am left, and they seek my life, to take it away.”
32) Basically, Elijah doesn't really know the answer to God's question...he has absolutely zero idea what he is doing there, only what got him there.

Isn't that how it is with most of us?
33) The mission God then gives Elijah is explicitly "zealous and jealous" -

he's going to anoint the king of Syria, the king of Israel, and the prophet of Israel.

And whoever Syria doesn't slaughter, the king of Israel will slaughter; whoever is left, the prophet will.

34) To eliminate the plague of idol worship THAT HAS INFESTED THE JEWS FROM THE CORE.

God says:"Yet I will leave seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.” - 1 Kings 19:18
35) Not to get political, but just imagine what the corrupt politicians would say if they heard this - well what they already are saying:

"That's racist"
"Capital punishment is bad"
"Child ritual sacrifice is culturally significant"
"They are Baal-attracted people"
36) The supplemental reading ends as Elijah finds Elisha. The main thing to note here is that Elisha is not sitting over a book....he is out actually caring for the animals - and he feeds the people before anything.

This is what makes him qualified to prophesy for God.

"The Price of Truth," Part IV - Combating Orthodox Jewish Child Sex Trafficking

So this is actually the last part of an extended reflection on Genendy's book "The Price of Truth."

Genendy writes from a position of love. She has every reason to be OTD ("off the derech" - not religious), but she is here, and she is going to speak as a survivor while still remaining within the community. Genendy uses every tool in her arsenal to help children gain some measure of awareness about bad adults, and she does it in a way that is kind and intelligent. She is an amazing human being, and I will never meet her, but she has my complete respect.

I had a hard time reading Genendy's book. It hits too close to home. Not the physical part, but the emotional part. The children of the children of the Holocaust survivors. Our parents took care of their parents, because "nobody can get Zaidy upset," because after the camps it was forbidden to cause them a single extra ounce of pain.

After the camps the only job was to recover. Number one, to establish some form of safe haven. Number two, to have children, many children. Number three, it goes without saying, to rebuild the yeshivas, and to fill them with boys learning day and night. For some it was about Israel. For all of our parents and grandparents, the survivors, it was about saying: No, Hitler, may your name be erased forever and ever, you did not win.

The point is, Genendy is of my generation - maybe she is a couple of years younger than me - and I know exactly the mindset that she writes about. I understand what it feels like to be the child that parents the parents, because this is what I felt as a child. Nobody can cause Zaidy and Bubbie any pain, Daddy and Mommy cannot fix the vacant eyes Hitler left them, and the next generation had to grow up and not make any more trouble than they had to.

We were a generation expected to take care of ourselves. And we became too mature too early. I think it is safe to say that most of us, probably the vast majority of us, had absolutely no idea what the word "sex" even meant as children. My mother tried to explain something about menstruation when I was five. It was like she was talking a completely different language.

Now is not the time to talk about myself, because not every conversation has to have a tie-in to your personal "memoirs." But as I grew older, I started to become familiar with the phenomenon of the "creepy rabbi." The odd remark here and there. You know, "odd." "Weird." That bad feeling you get.

Most of the time you're able to brush it away. Because everything is so hidden.

Heh - heh - heh - heh.

The shock of reading Genendy's book is the shock of knowing that that girl could have been you. It could have been you, God forbid, and if it had been you, there is nothing you could or would have done about it.

Genendy's mother was brutally beaten by her Zayde and married her father just to get out of the house. Genendy's father raped the child as a two-year-old, to the point where she had to be stitched up, and then in the unique psychotic way that pedophiles act out, he cared for the wounds.

The mother knew and covered it up (we are dealing with the cycle of abuse here) until Genendy was seven; because they distorted what the Torah actually says about pedophilia, the family sickness was somehow rationalized.

Genendy tried to tell her mother, her sister, her supervisor (the ultra-Orthodox preschool director), and her therapist, and none would even allow for the possibility that her father had physically, sexually abused her.

At one point Genendy actually tells a renowned rabbi, who says "I support you," but as soon as she says "it was my father," he says, "forget it. It never happened."

Keep in mind that Genendy's young relatives are also getting raped - she refers specifically to males. And in this crazy land, one of her uncles is accused of abuse, and Genendy is somehow roped into the case against this relative, while everyone denies her own awful situation.

Genendy was a victim of child sex trafficking, because on top of her father raping her and her grandfather, the head of a yeshiva, molesting her, her family actually took money from yeshiva bochurim so that they could gang-rape her in their dorms.

For a decade I have been reading about rampant child sexual abuse in the Orthodox community and I never put it together in my mind, that when a community actively coordinates to protect pedophiles and continue to send children into their orbit (shul, school, camp, seminary....) to be groomed/abused/molested/raped, that is child sex trafficking. Those words. Period.

No matter what other facts may surround the story, or how "nobody meant it," or "it was an accident," or "we didn't know better," etc. etc. etc.

It is the kind of story that you read and you feel the need to scream, or maybe cry, or yell in rage. Because you have read it so many, so many, so many times before. You say to yourself, surely her father has gone to jail! Not so. What is the law that should put her father in jail? I don't know. What is the remedy for Genendy and the infant brother who had his face smashed in? Who knows how many other victims there are?

But, as has been amply documented by Michael Lesher ("Sexual Abuse, Shonda, and Concealment In Orthodox Jewish Communities") and others, the men get passed from shul to shul, and school to school, and country to country, and they are safest in Israel above all.

You watch the human trafficking shows from Hollywood and you read the most outrageous stuff, and you say to yourself, I can't believe these incredibly accomplished and educated people, who often are so charitable actually, could be such horrendous monsters.

And then you think about all the ways the ultra-Orthodox community has ensured a steady supply of victims to shuls, and schools, and day camps, and sleepaway camps, and yeshivas, and Israel seminaries, and the list goes on and on.

Let me be clear - when victims come forward and you tell them it didn't happen, or that they're crazy, or that they better be careful; when you marginalize them, threaten them and their families and their parents; hen you honor the rapists and shun the victims, you are an enabler of child sex trafficking.

Her mother took away her radio, her books, and denied her eyeglasses. She has no skills and no way of truly getting free; she lives in a friend's home and cries on the floor. She goes to a mental hospital and she is so honest, when her friend steals Benadryl (which she self-medicates with) she makes him return it to the store.

The father and mother will not allow her to see her baby pictures, because obviously it will trigger memories.

The father tries to get her to get married to "solve" it.

She needs to be healthy. She tries to run away, but her father locks up her passport. She actually does run away, but psychologically she is bound, Stockholm Syndrome-like, to the boundary-less home from which she came, and she goes back when they physically chase her to Israel.

1. Do not say "this story is crazy, she must be nuts." Or "she dreamed it" (one of the most hurtful things a human being can say).

2. Call things what they are. "Child sex trafficking" - that means recruiting, harboring, and providing children to predators. Look up the words.

3. Stop the denial. Jews are no different than anybody else. "But Jewish people don't act like that" - yes they do. Stop worrying what people will think; for sure stop worrying about shidduch resumes. Get over it and focus on what matters, the children.

4. Stop automatically protecting the adults. What matters more, an embarrassing disclosure or a child being protected from rape?

5. For once and for all, put all the ideas out of your mind like "this will make people hate Jews" and "it's gossip" and "we weren't there." Just stop.

6. Understand that we don't live in the simplistic formulations of the Talmud - "did it happen in the city or the country?" "did she scream?" The predator will use every trick in the book to get the victim to not realize that they are a victim.

7. Protect the boys. I don't know why people think only girls can be victims. PROTECT THE BOYS.

8. Protect the children when others don't see a danger. In shul, don't leave the kids alone to run around and play in isolated places. Criminals seek opportunity.

9. Older children are not "safe." They commit sexual assaults against younger ones.

10. If, God forbid, a child discloses abuse, call the fucking police. 9-1-1. And then get help from qualified professionals. The rabbi is qualified to do rabbi things - stop lionizing this person as the all-knowing oracle.

Do you want to know how child sex trafficking ends? It ends by treating it the same among the Jewish community as it is treated among the non-Jewish community.

No more cover ups. No more homemade solutions. Whatever the best practice is in the secular world, and whatever the laws are in the secular world, those laws apply to Jews too.

No more lame excuses.

What happened may have happened a long time ago. But it is not enough to say "poor Genendy, we feel so bad for her."
The schools should be financially liable for enabling child rapists on campus. The perpetrators should be liable under federal sex trafficking statutes.

It is time to take seriously the claims of all the Genendys, and to make their attackers face real justice in the criminal system. At the very least, they belong behind bars for life.

The Torah provides for capital punishment for someone who kidnaps an individual for the purpose of slavery - e.g. a human trafficker. I personally believe that this applies today as well, both to the trafficker and to the beneficiary of the trafficking, kal vechomer (how much more so) to someone who trafficks a child.

In my view, legally capital punishment should be instituted for people like Genendy's father and the yeshiva bochurim who raped her and the others.

Nadia Murad Meeting POTUS - More Than Meets The Eye

1) Could this have been a Hillary special?

July 18, 2019 - meeting with refugees - widely reported "offensive" comments by the @POTUS to survivor Nadia Murad.
2) George Clooney with Barack Obama and little girl
7) State Department resistance account portrays President as Hitler
8) Murad a featured speaker at religious freedom symposium
10) The President gave Murad space to talk about what she wanted. But it was not clear what she wanted, because the moment was not scripted. My guess is that State Department resistance set up the photo op and inserted her with Hillary/Amal's help.
12) The political point to be made was that the President should be crippled in his attempts to protect us from invasion by refugee, which Politico reported on that very day (7/18) - there had been a Federal meeting re zeroing out the influx next year
13) Another character assassination attempt thwarted

14) Thank you to @ClockworkAnon for sharing some critical additional information, which I am going to add to this thread right now.

The information adds substance to the theory that @POTUS was set up by a @WhiteHouse staffer or @StateDept employee for an embarrassing encounter.
15) Clearly there are still bad actors with enough power to cause havoc and clearly these people are so disgusting they will use a human trafficking survivor to achieve their ends.
16) Recall that Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State from 2009-2013. Without getting into all the stuff about the Clinton Foundation and her conflicts of interest (!) she no doubt has supporters there still.
17) Nadia Murad's ordeal is not the issue here. She is an amazing human being. The issue is how disgusting people will use anyone and everyone if it suits them.
18) Remember, what Hillary Clinton was after was an impossible situation (Trump confronting a refugee during a photo opportunity; we don't make foreign policy there) and a headline (Trump is a hypocrite)
19) As @ClockworkAnon points out, one odd thing is that Murad didn't want to talk about ISIS, even though ISIS is the party responsible for enslaving her, and is gone from her home.
Bible study postponed for a few hours because I am researching the President's seemingly "off" remarks to Nadia Murad, the brave survivor of ISIS who won the Nobel Prize.
I've developed previous suspicions of the Nobel Peace Prize (Norweigan/Swedish agenda) along with UN Goodwill Ambassador program.

Also consider that Murad advocates against the Iraq & Kurdish Govt. rather than ISIS.
See Aristocrates ⏳🌎⚖️'s other Tweets
20) This is the part where Murad says, "This is not about ISIS."
21) I want to rewind this.
22) The @POTUS says "yes, please" and he gestures to Murad. Remember she was a featured speaker at the State Department religious freedom event happening that week, which @SecPompeo headlined.
23) Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback (he is the lead on this photo op) says, "This is Nadia, she's a Nobel Peace Prize winner."

Let's analyze this moment.
24) (Tell me if that guy isn't Brownback)
25) The President has to deal with some very awkward camera angles here. He has to face the camera, and yet turn left and right. (He knows every move will be dissected and disrespected no matter what.)
26) Why is Brownback making him look like an idiot here by implying he doesn't know who she is?

Is it to help @POTUS ?

Is it because he wasn't properly briefed?

Why is the President having a photo op if he wasn't properly briefed?
27) Now, the President chose Murad to ask a question. I have trouble believing he didn't know who he was talking to - again she was a primary speaker. It seems to me he doesn't want to embarrass Brownback. Maybe he thought Brownback was just trying to do his job.
28) Murad doesn't say "thank you Mr. President" or anything she just launches right into it.
29) "I'm from Iraq and I cannot say my family's, they are in the church because when ISIS attack us, no one protect us."

The President is watching Murad intently, and nodding.
30) Murad continues: "After 2003 we start to disappear from our area, from our homeland, then when ISIS attack us in 2014 they killed 6 of my brother, they killed my mom, they took me to captivity"

This is :30. The President is listening to her solemnly and he shakes his head.
31) "with my 11 sister in law with all my sister and my nieces. Until today we have 3000 Yazidi women and children in captivity."

We are at :37 and the President's head is angled downward because he is listening intently.
32) We are at :40. At the mention of the words "in captivity," the President's head jerks up.

It feels like there is nobody else in the room.
33) "Although they said ISIS is defeated but where is those 3000 Yazidi?"

(Note: I am not correcting her speech here so that the quotes preserve the element of raw accuracy; it is not meant to be disrespectful.)
34) (she breathes) "and our home is destroyed; we come to here, we go to Europe, we go to our country that ISIS did this, everyone saw that, and we appreciate - "
35) Now we are at 1:02.

She has just said - "and we appreciate" and before that "they took me to captivity"

But after her saying this, the President says - "and you were captured? You were captured?"

"Yes," she says.

Given that the President knows this, why would he ask?
36) "Yes," she says, kind of glossing over what seems to be either an ignorant or an insensitive question from the President.

"Vice President (Pence), he" -- so here she is ignoring what the President said and focusing on the fact that she has the camera. She keeps going.
37) "he help us a lot, but now, today, you can solve our problem, now, there's no ISIS but we can not go back because Kurdish government, and the Iraqi government, they are fighting each other who will control my area."
38) Now, I know enough to know that in a staged photo opportunity you are not supposed to ask the President to change foreign policy.
39) I remember one time - can I tell you a story?
40) I was Associate Director for Communications at the Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), and I had to make a presentation at the White House, and at the last minute I decided to add a little movie clip.
41) The clip was a scene from the movie "Wall Street," and maybe it was a good idea or maybe it wasn't, but let's just say nobody expected me to call a room full of manufacturing stakeholders "greedy"
42) And the President wasn't even there.
43) Another time, and this is kind of hilarious when I think back on it, I dialed into a conference call that involved all the senior people from the White House, and I'm like, HELLO? HELLO?
44) The point is, NOTHING like that scene would EVER have happened under Obama, because Obama would NEVER have had a photo op that wasn't carefully managed from start to finish.

And if ANYONE dared to mess with the photo op, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN FINISHED.
45) I remember this other time, there was a guy, let's call him Chip. (This is in another agency.)
46) Chip was in charge of the morning news clips.
47) Well, one day Chip had a visit to the dentist
48) And he came back to work a little woozy the next morning
49) And he did the news clips at like 4 a.m. or something, every day, so he sent them out when really tired and recovering.
50) The top featured item he sent out, the top headline, was...well let's just say it wasn't the most flattering article about someone very important, and it was not good for him.

I never saw him again.
51) So this whole entire scene should not have been happening. A photo op means you take the picture, and any private requests happen outside the earshot of reporters and without the TV cameras on. And no leaks.
52) Now Murad definitely knows she has gone out of bounds, and she is pushing it.
53) At this point, if the @POTUS actually had someone competent on staff, it would be time to cut the microphone. Not that Murad should not be heard, but that it wasn't the time and place and we don't make policy this way.
54) Not to mention that the @POTUS should never be embarrassed!
55) Murad, 1:22 "And we cannot go back, if we cannot protect our dignity, our family, what, we get a lot of support from President Macron, he push, he put a lot of pressure on Iraqi and Kurdistan government to help minorities, Yazidi to stay in their home, but we still continue "
56) "to emigrate, to find a safe place to live. I hope you can call, or anything to Iraqi and Kurdistan governent, to - "

@POTUS - "but ISIS is gone."
57) So what is Murad asking for?

It seems like she is asking for the President to intervene on behalf of the Yazidis because their governments have abandoned them.

This is a reasonable request, but it's not for the photo op.
58) The media, knowing the impossible situation this young woman faces and the impossible burden she has taken on for her family and community, only used her for a headline ("Trump doesn't care about refugees"), because that is what they do.
59) Nobody would have dared to say that the United States (DIA) made ISIS and then we had to pay $3.5 billion to take it down. Where does that fit in?
60) @POTUS: "ISIS is gone. And now it's Kurdish and who?"

Murad: "Iraqi."
61) "If I cannot go to my home and live in a safe place, and get my dignity back, this, it's not about ISIS, it's about I'm in people cannot go back. We are not million of people, we are only half million people."
62) "And after 2014, about 95,000 Yazidi they emigrate to Germany through a very dangerous way, not because we want to be refugees, but because we cannot find a safe place to live."

The unspoken truth is that Hillary/Obama caused this.
63) Watching this, I keep asking myself, who's running the show here?

Murad goes on.
64) I say to myself, the President could be at any kind of event, where someone is telling him about their desperate circumstances. But there is a protocol for handling that.
65) Murad: "All this happened to me, they kept my mom, my six brothers, left behind them then"

@POTUS - "Where are they now?"

Murad: "They killed them. They're in the mass graves in Sinjar."

Now what is @POTUS supposed to do?
66) Keep in mind that all these journalists and senators and Facebook bigmouths acting outraged regularly get their coffees in the morning and step over the bodies of homeless people on the way to work.
67) Murad: "And I'm still fighting just to live in safe. Please do something."

Again, she isn't wrong, but as the President points out, his job is to be President of the United States, and the United States is a disaster in many places - poor, run-down, suffering!
68) Murad: "It's not about one family or - "

@POTUS: "I know the area very well you're talking about." (He says this in a very quiet, soothing way. Not at all cold.)
69) Murad: "It's about half million. It's about a community."

@POTUS: "It's tough, yeah." (Nodding.) "OK. We're going to look into it very strongly. Thank you."

This is at 2:55. It seems here like the President is ending it. Everyone else seems to think so too.
70) She is stepping back, and then he suddenly turns and goes: "And you had the Nobel Prize." (It's a question, but also a statement; one of those. Perhaps one would call it "rhetorical.")
71) Murad: "Yeah." (Here she smiles, a genuine smile."

@POTUS: "That's incredible." (He says this in the most sincere way - like - the fact that you survived and achieved this is incredible.)
72) Look at the bittersweet expression on her face. She has managed to make some meaning out of hell.

This is not a woman who is being mistreated.
73) Rapidly the smile turns to tears. Look again.

And here, the President is BUILDING HER UP. He says: "They gave it to you for what reason, maybe you can explain."

This is her moment, this is her time.

He points to the camera. He is giving her the stage.
74) The @POTUS, here, is in effect saying to her - I have done what I can; I can't promise you anymore; I respect your achievement (am familiar enough with it to point it out) --

he pointed out her incredible survival twice (to have been captured and survived, and Nobel)
75) The point of doing that was to empower her, not to turn her into a victim or to be cold. The President is telling her: "Look at all you have survived. You will survive the rest too!"
76) In fact, the President turns a setup (putting him into an awkward moment) into a beautiful moment. And the media coverage completely distorts what actually happened there.

Where is the State Department staff to refute their inaccuracy?
77) @POTUS: "You can explain."
78) Murad: "For - that after all this happened to me, I didn't give up. I make it clear to everyone that ISIS raped thousands of Yazidi women [remind us again whose fault that was?] this one was first time the women from Iraq she get out and spoke about what happened."
79) @POTUS: "Really, is that right? It's the first time. So you escaped."

Murad: "I escaped but I don't have my freedom yet, because - "

@POTUS: "I understand."

What is he really saying here?
80) I have to go, but the clip ends with Murad going on to say that members of her family are still missing, and POTUS saying: "We're gonna look."

He ends by shaking her hand warmly - he treats her like a lady, with respect.
81) Look at the difference in body language here.

82) Everyone, for Hillary, was a trophy.

Even a victim of human trafficking.
