Seeing God In The Sacred Language of Hebrew

There is a Nigerian group of people called the Igbo, who identify as Jews (Israel does not recognize them as such) and they say ancient Phoenicians and Israelites are linked. So the language would be too.
From the perspective of the actual meaning of the Hebrew letters themselves, we have a lot to think about if the ancient scroll was written in Phoenician and not what we would recognize as Hebrew.

Incontrovertibly, the ancient Hebrew characters look very different from what we recognize today.

The Phoenicians, at least according to this article, were Canaanites. (Recall that God had told the Jews they were not to copy the ways of the Egyptians or the Canaanites.)

"The old Hebrew alphabet [top] was used by all Semitic peoples including the Arameans (also called the Chaldeans), but evolved independently from the Hebrew.

The Jews adopted the square-looking letters in Babylon - in exile/captivity.

Orthodox Jews refer to the modern Hebrew alphabet with the square letters when studying Torah.
We are taught that God, who created and controls the world, brought it into being through the letters themselves.
Reflect on this....the medium is the message, because God is continually re-creating Creation.
"According to the Zohar, among God's first creations were the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Kabbalah teaches that the alphabet, called 'ivrit' in Hebrew, comes from the root word lavir, or to transfer."
"Far more than simple symbols of communication, the letters transfer energy from the Light of God into the physical world."

What is "magick?" What is a "spell?"

"After studying the letters in depth it is not uncommon for many people to feel that the letters express some direct spiritual communication that goes beyond words."
"In kabbalistic circles, meditation on the letters is commonly practiced to encourage this type of rapport with the letters."
