Kedoshim: What Does The Word "Holy" Really Mean? (May 11, 2019)

1) Starting the #BibleStudyCoffeeTime thread here.

Today is May 11, 2019.
We are reading Parshas Kedoshim in Leviticus.
2) Parashat Kedoshim / פרשת קדשים

Torah Portion: Leviticus 19:1 - 20:27
Haftarah* for Ashkenazim**: Amos 9:7 - 9:15
Haftarah for Sephardim: Ezekiel 20:2 - 20:20

*supplemental portion
**Ashkenaz and Sephardic customs differ

3) The word "Kedoshim" means "the holy ones."

Hebrew root קְדֹשִׁ

קְ - K
דֹ - D
שִׁ - Sh

This portion is God commanding the Jews to remain holy by doing some things and not doing others.

4) Since my time is a little bit constrained right now, I just want to focus on the word itself for now.

If I have time later I will try do more (you never know what happens, but I will try). This Torah portion is my favorite one in the entire Bible.
5) @SaRaAshcraft told us once that our language comes from the corrupt Hivites. You can read more here, but now I understand why we say that Hebrew is "Lashon HaKodesh" - the Holy Language.

Hebrew = Holy

Ever wonder where the term "hooker" comes from? Ever hear the saying "God is a fisherman"? Curious where these phrases originated? Look up the Phoenician alphabet, the 14th letter "nun" and the picture begins to fill in.

6) @SaRaAshcraft said: "the Inanna temple (that uses "sacred (child) prostitutes") and the Phoenician monarchy have been ruling the world for millennia. They've embedded their culture into every aspect of our lives, especially our language."

Y'all, the Inanna temple (that uses "sacred (child) prostitutes") and the Phoenician monarchy have been ruling the world for millennia. They've embedded their culture into every aspect of our lives, especially our language. SEE THEM ALL and .

7) In Hebrew, the words mean more than the words. So we need to look at the word קדש (KDsh - KaDoSh - "kadosh" - holy - set apart) - which is the root of the title of this portion, which tells us how to be sacred.
8) The word "holy" is the opposite of "profane" and yet the root word is used to mean both.

How is that possible?
9) Essentially, God gives us a choice in all things. The job of Satan is to cloak himself in the images, beliefs, cultures, practices, rituals, and institutions we are taught to trust and believe in.

So to be holy, you have to be a detective.

God tells Moses in
Leviticus 19:2

דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶל־כָּל־עֲדַ֧ת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וְאָמַרְתָּ֥ אֲלֵהֶ֖ם קְדֹשִׁ֣ים תִּהְי֑וּ כִּ֣י קָד֔וֹשׁ אֲנִ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃

Speak to the whole Israelite community and say to them: You shall be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy.
11) "You shall be holy"
קְדֹשִׁ֣ים תִּהְי֑וּ
12) "Because I am holy"
כִּ֣י קָד֔וֹשׁ אֲנִ֖י
13) You, the Jews, will be holy (you will make yourselves holy) because I, God am holy -- and if you profane yourselves you distance yourselves from Me, you create barriers.
14) Page 656 commentary on this verse (Lev. 19:2):

"The root KDSh connotes separation due to a difference in kind from something else. On the one end...the Sanctuary is KDSh, holy, because it is on a different spiritual plane from the secular." --

15) "--At the opposite end, an immoral person is called a KDSh [THE VERY SAME WORD!] b/c his spiritual degradation sets him apart from moral people."

**In other words, to bring this to our discussion of the cabal:
The "elites" are "KDSh" - set apart - because THEY ARE EVIL.**
16) Looking this up further -- a KDSh - kadesh - is a "male pagan prostitute."

17) קדש = 404 בגימטריה

404 = KDSh in Hebrew Gematria

 https://www.gimatria.co.il/?word=%D7%A7%D7%93%D7%A9
18) 404 = reason = law.

We must be ruled by law in order to be holy.

Think: Department of Justice.

19) Deuteronomy 33:2:

"And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law (dat) for them."
20) Here is an interesting take from a Christian perspective (same link)

"In modern Hebrew, dat denotes both law & religion. It is composed of a Dalet (Door) and Tav (Cross), and so we have religion associated with a "cross on a door" which obviously rings many Christian bells."
21) John J. Parson: "The word for religion is (dat), which means the "door of the cross" using the ancient pictographs."
22) "The Father (Aleph) sent His Son (Bet) and by means of the Holy Spirit (Gimmel) who makes appeal to the poor and needy to receive the grace of the LORD God of Israel."
23) "As Yeshua said, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Rev. 3:20)"
24) There is a deep and everlasting bond between all religions.
Whoever we are and whatever we believe, we need to be holy to receive God.
